I found my way to Northeast Ohio Chronic Pain Support Group because I was in a dark hole. I felt so alone and in a world of hurt, both physically and emotionally. Pain is invisible and it makes others not fully understand what you are going through. My coworkers, friends, and family, had zero idea the sheer misery I was in. I was spinning in circles with doctors and feeling unheard every step of the way. When I felt at my lowest, I gave one last push and decided to find my own support if those around me were unable to provide it for me.

My google search brought me to NEO Pain and it was the answer to everything I was needing. There is no other support than from those that know exactly what you are going through: the ups and the downs, the suggestions and reflections. Our group is full of real, compassionate people that get it. It's what true support is what is really about and what is offered here.

Hello,

I’m reaching out because I know how hard it can be to take that first step—especially when you’re dealing with pain, isolation, or uncertainty.

I hesitated at first, too. What finally helped me was realizing that this group isn’t about fixing anything or having the “right” answers. It’s simply a place to be understood, to listen, and to be reminded that you’re not alone.

Being part of the group has given me a sense of connection and purpose during a time when those things felt distant. Some days I just listen. Other days, I share. Either way, I leave feeling lighter than when I arrived.

If you’ve been unsure about joining, please know there’s no pressure to speak, no expectations, and no judgment—just people who truly get it.

If and when you’re ready, we’d be glad to have you with us.
